CTET Primary Level Eligibility (Class I through V) with Code

➡ In accordance with NCTE 2002 Norms, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) must have at least 45% of the required marks to pass or appear in the final year of the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) must have at least 50% of the required marks to pass or appear in the final year of the 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) must have at least 50% of the required marks to pass or appear in the final year of the 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

CTET Junior Level Qualifications (Class VI to VIII) Using Code

➡ A bachelor’s degree and passing the 2-year Elementary Education Diploma program, or being enrolled in the program’s final year, under any name. OR

a minimum of 50% in graduation or post-graduation coursework, as well as passing or being accepted into the final year of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing

or appearing in the last year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing

or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in line with the NCTE Norms. Alternatively, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of the possible points and passing or planning to appear in the last year of a four-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed.

a minimum of 50% on graduation, passing the 1-year B.Ed. program, or enrolling in B.Ed. special education
Any applicant who has completed a B.Ed. program that has been approved by the NCTE is qualified to participate in TET/CTET. Furthermore, a person enrolled in any of the teacher education programs listed in the NCTE Notification dated August 23, 2010 (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) is also eligible to appear in the TET/CTET, according to the current TET guidelines distributed via NCTE letter dated February 11, 2011. Alternatively, after graduating with at least a 55% grade or an equivalent, passing the three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program, or enrolling in its final year.
